Hello, my device is QUEST3. When using Virtual Desktop to stream to PCVR, perspective cannot be enabled. When the perspective option is turned on, the background is black. But it can be used normally on the VR program of the all-in-one machine. At the moment I dont know where the problem is
PC VR cannot see through
Do you mean “passthrough” instead of “perspective”? (Sorry, it took me a while to realize that it’s what you might be meaning)
It’s the software background that displays the real world. I’m used to using perspective to describe it. Maybe you are used to using direct, which is what it means
OK. So, the problem here is Virtual Desktop. We don’t test VR Sketch under Virtual Desktop, and even if we did it is unlikely that we can fix it easily. The reason is that the problem is on the Virtual Desktop side: VR Sketch is just a Unity program in which the standard “enable passthrough” option was checked. If it’s not enough for Virtual Desktop to recognize it, then likely the passthrough won’t work in many other 3rd-party programs either. I would suggest making sure you are using the latest version of Virtual Desktop, and if you are, looking around the internet for more information about the passthrough in Virtual Desktop. (It is really called “passthrough” and not “perspective”, in case you do Google searches)
(Some searching seems to say that passthrough must also be enabled in Virtual Desktop itself, otherwise it cannot work. “Environments -> Passthrough”)
